Shenzhen Powtele's minimalist PMP-400 media player
Admittedly, this is unlikely to see the light of day on the UK market, but the PMP-400 from Shenzhen Powtele could make it onto the gadget retail sites – and is certainly worth a look.
And when you do take a look, you will notice a lack of buttons, thanks to the device’s touch-sensitive 4-inch TFT LCD. Aside from that, you get music and video playback via MP3, WMA, AAC, OGG, AC3, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, ASP, DivX, XviD, DAT and VOB, photo viewing, an audio recorder, e-book reader and TV-out.
Storage is from 1GB to 4GB, with slots for SD and MMC cards, as well as USB connectivity. No word on a price as yet.
