The rush to film us in all out HD glory continues, with the latest HD camcorder launched by Canon – the HG10.

The HG10 packs a 40GB drive, which should be good for 15 hours of HD footage. And there is also a 10x zoom lens, optical image stabilisation, single-cable connection to an HD TV set and several still photo options.

It should be around late in the year – the US price has been listed at $1,300.
