There’s always going to be market amongst the rich and tasteless for all things gold, so Samsung should be onto the winner with the Samsung P318+.
Yes, it has a gold case, 18 carat gold to be precise to honour all the winners at the 2008 Olympics. You see, Samsung is the official handset manufacturer of the games, so it’s not just a random piece of ostentatious design. As for the specification, well that doesn’t seem to have been much of a consideration, with a fairly standard two megapixel camera, music player, 80MB storage and EDGE compatibility.
No idea of price and availability, we’ll keep you posted if we hear more.
