O2 is launching Simplicity, a new kind of pay monthly deal that doesn’t require a long-term contract.

In fact, the deal can be ended at just 30 days notice. It’s aimed at people who don’t want a lock in and people who are just happy with the mobile they have, but want a decent deal on call charges: “There are many reasons someone might not want a new phone. They may be happy with their existing handset which they have grown used to and have all the accessories for. Or they may be holding out for a new phone that is coming out soon and don’t want to be tied into an 18 month contract. They may simply not know what they want from one month to the next and want the flexibility to change. All these people still deserve the best possible mobile deal and experience and that is what they get with O2 simplicity,” said Sally Cowdry, O2 UK Marketing Director.

O2 simplicity tariffs start from £15 a month for 200 minutes and 200 texts, with the company also promising “special O2 treats” such as free texts or minutes from the first month of a contract.
