yahoo-go2.jpgYahoo has announced that this Friday, it’ll be releasing the beta version of its Yahoo Go for Mobile 2.0 application, which provides access to mapping, personal organiser apps, news, photos and email (among other stuff).

But hang on a minute? Didn’t we write about Yahoo launching the beta version of Go for Mobile 2.0 back in January? Well, yes. But this time it’s a fully localised version for the UK, with countries including France, Germany and Spain getting their own versions too.

Improvements over Go 1.0 include faster speed, better email, access to all your Yahoo Address Book contacts and Calendar dates, and Yahoo’s new oneSearch mobile search application built in.

Yahoo says the app will be available for more than 200 handsets by the end of July, and will be preloaded on phones from Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, LG and HTC later in the year. Rest assured, we’ll be grabbing the app when it goes live from the link below on Friday and giving it a good test.
