Their most exciting one is HP’s first entertainment notebook, which features a 20.1” diagonal screen, true 1080p HD resolution and some kind of funky etching on it, which apparently ‘hints at the interconnectedness between work and play’. The mind boggles. It’s going to be called the HDX Entertainment Series (or the Dragon, as The Rock Star of HP has just called it – they’re name for him, not mine), and boasts 4 Altec Lansing speakers and a subwoofer. It’s also got an HD DVD player, and HDMI output so that you don’t need a separate HD DVD player for your home TV. There’s a separate remote to the left of the keyboard. There’s also a dual hinge, which means as well as opening like a normal notebook, the screen comes away from the hinge so it appears almost like a separate monitor. I’ll try and get a video, so you can see what I’m trying to explain!
