Sony's 12.1 megapixel Cyber-Shot W200

There’s a pattern emerging here – yet another Cyber-Shot from Sony with HD output – this time the W200, which offers 12.1 effective megapixels.

The W200 is the first Cyber-shot W-Series camera to feature 12.1 effective megapixels and full HD output for viewing on your HD-ready TV. There’s also a Carl-Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 3x optical zoom.

Like the other models announced today, picture clarity is boosted by Double Anti-Blur technology, with a high sensitivity of ISO 3200, that should mean clear, un-blurred images even in low light. And there’s Sony’s Face Detection technology for optimising focus, exposure and flash, a 2.5-inch screen, metal-alloy body, 270-shot rechargeable battery, 28MB storage and VGA 30fps movie mode with audio.

The Cyber-shot W200 will be available throughout Europe from mid May 2007.
