Philips has launched the 9-inch digital PhotoFrame, with a choice of finishes and with the option of using it horizontally or vertically.
The frame is available with two finishes – contemporary (9FF2M4 – with interchangeable coloured frames) or wood-finish (9FF2CWO). Images are stored on the display’s internal memory, transferred by connecting to a PC or digital camera via USB, or you can download directly from various memory card formats (SD, MMC, Memory Stick, compact flash) through the built-in memory card slot.
It can be used either horizontally or vertically with photos automatically adjusted to suit either portrait or landscape options. As with similar gadgets, you can choose one permanent image or set it up as a slideshow or on a timer. Philips also promises that the high definition screen offers best-possible light and brightness levels, adjusted automatically to suit the light in the room. And if you want to play around with the pictures, the on-board PhotoEffect Wizard can add photo effects including image rotation, zoom, cropping, colour effects (black and white or sepia) and “fun” frames.
Price is £179 for the wood-effect frame, £200 for the contemporary.
