For the money (if you just want plain and simple playback) it isn’t bad. Apart from being multi-region, it’s compatible with standard DVDs, along with DVD-R, VCD, CD-DA, CD-R/RW, CD, MP3, HD-CD, J-PEG and Kodak picture CD. There’s also multi-angle viewing, slow motion playback, parental lock function and the option to programme a running order for your audio CDs. And of course, there’s a remote.
The downside? Well, it doesn’t come with a scart lead, but if you’re paying this kind of money, I’m sure you can stretch to one. It’s available now from the Amazon website. Have you seen a player cheaper? Let us know.
