Speaking to Reuters, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, has said it is
unlikely the company will produce the much-rumoured next Game Boy any
time soon, because of the runaway success of its dual-screened
handheld, the DS. "I would have second thoughts about using our
resources on the next generation of GBA considering the strong support
DS is now enjoying," said Iwata. "The Japanese game market is now
evolving around DS. We don’t need to do something that will pour cold
water on the situation."
