Milk… Check… Eggs… Check… 64MB MMC memory card… Check. Not normally what you expect to see on your list of groceries, but a partnership between Catalus and Tesco will soon see a wide variety of memory formats filling supermarket shelves. Catalus supplies M+ digital memory and the product line up includes Multi Media Card, Compact Flash, Smart Media, Secure Digital, Memory Stick, xD Picture card, Mini SD and RS MMC which can all be employed in a wide variety of electrical devices such as mobiles, digital cameras and MP3 players. This move shows that portable memory media has become big business of late and we can expect to see bemused housewives picking through racks of colour coded packages to find the right format for their new camera-phones in the coming months.
