Carphone Warehouse, which recently announced the exclusive on Nokia’s 7600 3G handset, has bagged another of the company’s odd-looking new mobiles.

Due on sale very shortly is the 7700 curved shaped high-end model.

In addition to its weird design the 7700 sees the debut of Nokia’s new Series 90 UI interface. It is also one of the first of the company’s handset to feature a touch screen.

On board are a camera, a web browser, video facilities, stereo radio, and music player. The 7700 can also access still and moving images transmitted over a new kind of digital TV network. Don’t expect EastEnders just yet though. Transmissions aren’t expected to start until at least 2005.

Also arriving at the same time is the Nokia 6820. Billed as a messaging device the phone features full keyboard, integrated camera, e-mail, MMS, SMS, and Instant Messaging. Look out for reviews of both phones in the near future.
