Sony’s PlayStation 4 is continuing to outsell the Xbox One and the Wii U in North American, according to reports this week.
IGN says that the PS4 was the best-selling console in North America for the month of May, giving Sony five months straight at the top of the hardware charts.
It says that Sony’s new console also managed to move more titles than any other platform, in a month that saw sales of both consoles and games shoot up.
“The NPD Group’s video game sales report for the month reveals that console sales jumped up a massive 95 percent year-on-year to $586 million, with console software sales also climbing 57 percent to $274 million.”
Nintendo said the 3DS was the second best-selling piece of hardware behind the PS4.
