US Apple store down - iPad pre-orders imminent

Which means something exciting is about to happen. Mashable thinks it might have something to do with iPad pre-orders. US iPad pre-orders begin at 5:30 AM PT (which is in less than an hour's time)

Obviously there's no a lot of iPad action at the UK store. We will haved to wait until the end of April for the device to arrive in the UK.
