British Gas are set to release Energy Smart, an iPhone app designed to help customers avoid estimated bills.
Rather than have a meter-man visit your home, Energy Smart lets users submit gas and electricity meter readings straight to British Gas themselves. Users should then receive a more accurate monthly or quarterly bill as a result.
Other features of the App include:
- A step-by-step guide on how to read gas and electricity meters
- The ability to email British Gas customer services with any question
- A directory of 24 hour emergency contacts for gas and all regional electricity suppliers
