KEF has announced its latest speaker system, the third generation Home Theatre 2000 Series 5.1 system to be precise. The KHT2005.3 features four satellite speakers, a centre channel speaker, and new KUBE-2 subwoofer.

The system uses KEF’s 4-inch UNI-Q driver, featuring metal dome tweeter and neodymium magnets producing an extended bandwidth normally associated with much larger speakers. What it means is that you can have smaller, more attractive speakers without compromising on sound quality.

The KUBE-2 subwoofer pumps out 250W from its amplifier, featuring a 10-inch drive and a bass boost control for adjusting its output based on the room acoustics.

Available in matt silver or high gloss black, the KHT2005.3 will be available next month for £699. The KUBE-2 subwoofer can also be purchased separately for use in other home audio systems.
