I dunno how big a brain your average cockroach has, but apparently it doesn't take much to operate Garnet Hertz's cockroach-run robot. Hertz also did a project involving strapping tiny wireless videocameras to the top of Madagascar hissing cockroaches because he considers the cockroach to be "the ideal posthuman creature". "Endowing cockroaches with advanced technology offers a humorous glimpse into the eyes of a hypothetical superhuman cockroach species: one that appropriates the technology of humans and combines it with the advanced survival techniques of the cockroach."
