Having your photo taken whilst dressed in next to nothing in the sun is never going to be a flattering look for most of us – which is probably why HP has produced the Photosmart R927 digital camera with a virtual ‘slimming’ function.
The 8.2MP R927 with 7.6 cm image display and metallic finish features 24x total zoom, with 3x optical and 8x digital zoom. It can record high-quality VGA video with audio, then save video stills to print directly from your camera. It also comes complete with a decent rechargeable battery (around 200 shots) and 32MB of internal memory.
You can play around with images on your camera using HP Real Life technologies, adding artistic effects and borders. Or more usefully, you can automatically remove red eye or use a selection of picture modes to get a good shot. And there’s the ‘slimmers’ mode – switch it on and the camera attempts to make the subject of the photo slimmer in a very subtle way. I wouldn’t expect miracles.
You can pick it up now for around £400.
