Italian website Pigtou, in collaboration with David from @xleaks7, has printed images and a short video of what it claims is the upcoming Apple iPhone SE 3 2022 based on 3D printed dummy phones.

As you see from leaked images, the overall design remains pretty much the same as its predecessor, the iPhone SE 2020. We have a single-lens camera and flashlight at the back. However, surprisingly, the Apple logo has moved up on the back cover (it was placed exactly in the middle on previous iPhone SE model). The reason for this is unclear.

As for the sides, the new model remains exactly the same as the 2020 model with the power button and SIM tray on the right side, volume buttons on the left side and speaker grilles and a lightning port at the bottom. With dimensions of 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3 mm (8.2 mm with camera bump) the 2022 iPhone remains pretty compact.

While other rumours suggest that the front will be exactly the same as iPhone SE 2020 with a Touch ID button, this dummy doesn’t have a Touch ID button, and such dummies usually come with all buttons in place. We’re currently not sure about size of bezels or notch either.

Apple’s affordable iPhone SE (2020) sold 24 million units in the year of its launch and has seemingly prompted the company to reduce the launch time for its successor. It took four years for Apple to launch a successor to its first iPhone SE, but the next edition – pictured here in dummy form – could be arriving in the first half of this year, along with new iPad Air. We’re also waiting for upcoming iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Mini, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in autumn 2022.
