Harman Kardon has become the latest manufacturer to launch a smart speaker. The Citation 500 is billed as a high-quality intelligent speaker with a sleek, sophisticated design. The manufacturer says the Citation 500, which was awarded with the prestigious EISA Smart Speaker 2018-2019, will deliver superb sound while complementing the aesthetics of your home.

Inspired by the timelessness and attention to detail of Nordic design, the Citation 500 has been designed in conjunction with  Kvadrat, Europe’s leading design textiles manufacturer, and includes innovative wool fabrics that lend the speaker a polished minimalist look.

Harman Kardon claims the Citation 500 delivers a dynamic listening experience that will satisfy even the most discerning of audiophiles. Features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Chromecast and Google Assistant.

Says Michael Mauser, President, Lifestyle Audio at Harman:

“Our unprecedented audio legacy matched with the Kvadrat’s premium textiles has allowed us to develop this unique smart home speaker. Consumers today are looking for superior sound and superior design and with the Citation 500, that’s exactly what they’ll get.

“We’re delighted that the Citation 500 has been recognized by EISA”.

The Harman Kardon Citation 500 will be showcased at IFA 2018 in Berlin, along with a complete range of audio products. It can be pre-ordered at www.harmankardon.com from the end of September for £549.
