YouTube is testing 4K video at 60fps

Want to know how good video is going to look in a few years time? Then check out this video, if your computer is capable of running it. As spotted by Engadget, these volcano videos are the first on the site to work at both 4K resolution and at 60fps. Previously YouTube has supported both 4K playback and 60fps videos… but not at the same time.

At the moment to even see the option, you’ll need to be using Chrome – and to get the full effect you’ll need a 4K monitor. Though it still looks pretty decent even at 1080p.
