Prynt will turn your phone into a polaroid camera

Miss the old days of the Polaroid camera? Then a new phone accessory on Kickstarter will let you recreate the magic of seeing your pictures printed as soon as you’ve taken them.

Prynt is a bulky cradle for your phone – and it contains an embedded printer. All you need to do is supply the paper (the ink is built into the paper, a la Polaroid).

Interestingly, there’s also an augmented reality component. If you shoot a photo to print in the app, it will record for a few seconds before you hit the shutter. Then if you hold your printed photo up to your camera, the short video clip will be superimposed over the top.

Prynt will be shipping to Kickstarter backers in October and will cost about $99 – or about £64. It’ll support iPhone 6, 5S, 5C, 5, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5.
