Payday 2 is coming to PS4 and Xbox One with “Crimewave Edition”
Overkill games has announced that its highly acclaimed bank rob ’em up, Payday 2, will finally be making its way to consoles.
The first person game sees players have to use a combination of stealth and shooting to participate in a wide range of criminal activities – from robbing a bank, to rigging an election. Released only on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 so far, it has proved hugely successful – so the console transition perhaps shouldn’t be a surprise. Sadly though, it looks like you won’t be able to bring your save data with you.
According to Eurogamer, the “Crimewave Edition” will feature the original game, plus many of the DLC and extras that have already been released – and the game should be upscaled to 1080p from 720p. (The developer even hinted it might run at 60fps).
The game is due to hit in June.
