Limited Edition Tomb Raider Xbox 360 controller looks like it's been attacked by a T-Rex

xbox-360-tomb-raider-controller.jpgMicrosoft have partnered with Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics to reveal a new limited edition Xbox 360 controller to tie in with the launch of this year’s Tomb Raider reboot.

Rather than the glamour of the Lara Croft of old, the controller channels the new game’s grittier take on the adventuring heroine.

We’re not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing though! Rather than delivering a swish new controller, the limited edition piece (inspired by Lara’s climbing axe) uses a two layer build with a laser etched finish to result in a worn look, complete with scrapes, chips and fingerprints.

It’s certainly got character, but we wouldn’t want to try selling this as “New” on eBay!

The controller, a Game exclusive in the UK that features the newer rotating pop-in, pop-out D-Pad, will cost £39.99.

We’re going hands-on with the Tomb Raider reboot next week, so check back to Tech digest then for our first impressions of Lara’s latest outing.
