A successor to the HTC One X could be on the cards, and could land as soon as October 1st in the UK a new leak suggests.
A Taiwanese source has revealed details of a handset codenamed the HTC Endeavour C2, packing in an impressive quad-core 1.7GHz processor. With the HTC One X (pictured) initially going by the codename HTC Endeavour, it’s led many to speculate that this new handset could land as the HTC One X2.
If true, it’s a very quick turn-around for HTC, whose impressive original HTC One X was only released back in April.
Other improvements tipped for inclusion include the bundled UrBeats earphones, a better battery life, new colour options, Clearvoice calling and on-demand video through the HTC Watch 2 service.
A previous leak had also suggested the device could land with a 5-inch 1080p screen. Considering HTC’s slightly lacklustre earnings so far this year, it looks as though they’re pulling out all the stops for at least one big mobile success story in 2012.
