Samsung have finally revealed the UK launch date of their re-vamped Samsung Galaxy 10.1 inch tablet. Android slate fans will be able to bag the Honeycomb tablet on August 4th, though pricing has yet to be announced.

The svelte re-jig of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab range launched in the States on June 17th, with pricing starting at $499 for the 16GB edition, climbing to $599 for the 32GB version.

First revealed at MWC 2011 in February, Samsung put the 10.1 inch tablet on a diet after Apple responded within a couple of weeks with the super-slim iPad 2. Going from 10.9mm thick to 8.6mm thick, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is now 0.2mm thinner than Apple’s iPad 2.
