Hot on the heels of the BlackBerry PlayBook’s April launch, we may have another RIM tablet with us in time for Christmas. According to sources at the BlackBerry World conference, RIM are hoping to pop a new 10 inch PlayBook under your Christmas tree.
3 inches larger than the original, it’s expected that the 10 inch model will launch with native email, BBM and calendar support as well as a 4G connection; all sorely missing from the current PlayBook.
With the only real differentiating factor between both models screen size however, this looks more like a stepping-stone device rather than a fully-blown next generation PlayBook. Which is unsurprising, given the relative youth of the first device.
BlackBerry’s October 18th DevCon will undoubtedly shed more light on the matter.
