The app for talking to the other side – now with sharing tools

It reads abnormal electromagnetic fields, apparently, to detect paranormal phenomenon – now available right on your very own iPhone.

“It occurred to me that if EVPs [Electronic Voice Phenomenons] are caused by paranormal forces there are likely electromagnetic fluctuations occurring during these communications,” said developer Ben Williams.

The Excelltech Paranormal Recorder app uses the phone’s compass to detect messages which could be from ghosts. It will only pick up readings that fall outside the normal range – sort of like a motion detector set to only go off for people, not pets.

The new version of the Paranormal Recorder app, version 3.11, lets you share your findings with other enthusiasts, using SoundCloud.
