More shots of the promising-looking LG P990 Android smartphone have popped up over on the Phandroid blog.

Though there is still no official word on the device from the LG team, the spy shots reveal some juicy new facts about the device, namely in the shape of a picture showing benchmark test results against other leading Android handsets (see the gallery below). If the results are true, the LG Star shoots past the likes of the Nexus One and Samsung Galaxy S.

Touting a system-on-a-chip Nvidia Tegra 2 module, the Star also boasts a 4 inch touchscreen and 8MP camera, as well as full on 1080p recording capabilities, with HDMI output to your telly.

We’re guessing at a Q1 2011 release, with a full launch at MWC in February. It’s currently rocking the Froyo version of Android, but we’d expect a 2.3 Gingerbread build to ship with the device when it hits stores.
