It’s been a long time coming, but Nintendo have finally revealed when we’ll be able to get our hands on their brand new Nintendo 3DS console.
The 3DS will go on sale in Japan on February 26, 2011. The unit will cost 25,000 yen and will be available in Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black.
The 3DS offers glasses-free 3D visuals by using lenticular technology. Nintendo are looking to give many titles from their treasured back catalogue a 3D makeover on the device, including the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which is often hailed as one of the greatest video games ever.
No word yet on western release dates or pricing, but at least now know how long we’ve got to wait before start thinking about importing a Japanese unit.
