ps3-slim.jpgChampagne glasses must be tinkling at Sony HQ and in the homes of PS3 fanboys alike today, as figures are now showing that Sony have turned the console race around to become leaders of the pack.

14.3 million PS3s were sold between June 2009 and June 2010, compared to 10.3 million Xbox 360s, official figures released by both companies reveal. It’s a complete turnaround from last year, representing a 28% rise in PS3 over Xbox 360 sales over the past 12 months, helped in no small part by the lower pricing of the PS3 Slim model.

However, the Xbox 360 still maintains an overall lead of 3.6 million more sales than Sony’s console, a lead it hopes to maintain as both companies ready new motion controlling hardware in the shape of the 360’s Kinect and PS3’s Move.

  • I wish to show my appreciation to you for bailing me out of this instance. Because of researching throughout the the net and meeting basics which are not pleasant, I thought my life was over. Living minus the solutions to the issues you’ve sorted out through your good short article is a crucial case, as well as the ones that would have in a negative way damaged my career if I had not come across your web site. Your actual natural talent and kindness in controlling almost everything was precious. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t come across such a thing like this. It’s possible to at this moment look ahead to my future. Thanks very much for the expert and amazing guide. I will not be reluctant to endorse your site to any person who would need guide on this topic.
