leica v-lux 20.jpgLecia, the German camera manufacturers, have today unveiled their V-LUX 20 compact camera.

Making use of a LEICA DC-VARIO-ELMAR 4.1-49.2mm f/3.3-4.9 ASPH. zoom lens with a focal range of 25-300mm, the compact can shoot 12.1 megapixel stills and features a 12x optical zoom.

Other features include 720p video capture and playback, a 3 inch 460k pixel LCD preview screen, face detection, image stabilisation and the regular range of automatic scene and exposure settings that come as standard these days.

It’s also the first Lecia camera to feature a built-in GPS chip, meaning your photos can be automatically geotagged with little effort on your behalf.

Available from May for £495, an extra 70 quid will pick you up a leather carry case too.
