acer aspire 5740.jpgAcer’s new Aspire 5740 series of notebooks look to grab your attention with a new suite of eye-popping 3D programs. Packing in LED backlit 15.6 inch HD panels, the series looks set to be a high-end set of entertainment machines.

If you pick yourself up one of the 5740DG models, you can enjoy super-cool visuals courtesy of the third dimension. The pre-installed Tri Def 3D suite only requires a pair of polarizer eyeglasses to view the cutting-edge content, which includes 3D DVDs, photos and games.

The new notebooks offer up to 8GBof DDR3 memory, making full use of the Intel Core i7, i5 and i3 Mobile CPU’s. Bluetooth and Wireless 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N connections will be compatible, while an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 is on graphics duties in the 5740DG model.

An optional Blu-ray drive is also available, and probably would be a worthy purchase for a notebook of this range’s size.

No word on pricing yet, but for more info, visit www.acer.com.
