leyio PSD.jpg Leyio has added new functionality to its Personal Sharing Device (PSD) including the ability to share data with mobiles, cameras and the iPhone.

Upon connecting the device to their PCs, all Leyio users will receive a prompt giving them the option to upgrade their Leyio firmware.

In addition, a new 8Gb model – which comes with micro SD functionality for extra storage – is set to retail for £99. Currently the 16Gb will set you back £129 from either Amazon or John Lewis.

Leyio’s PSD is a high-speed, fingerprint-protected module that transmits information between devices via UWB (Ultra Wideband) rather than wi-fi. With 16GB Flash memory, you can send digital content – mp3s, photos, movies, business cards, business files and web links – to another Leyio device with just a flick of the wrist.

A song takes just one second to transfer via UWB, making Leyio much faster than Bluetooth or wi-fi.
