Watching TV in the bathroom used to be a precarious business with the consequences of dropping the portable set in the bath pretty dire for both the TV and the watcher.
Then came bathroom TV sets for which Aquavision is a UK pioneer. The company has just announced that it is expanding its range of sets so users can choose one of six sizes between 10 and 40 inches.
Each of the models is protected by a specially made glass panel which not only keeps the TV dry (the maker says they will stay bone dry even in a sauna), but also apparently enhances picture quality too.
The sets come with RS232 control, integrated Freeview digital tuners, a component video, S-Video and analogue PC input, HDMI inputs, full scart connection and built in games. They are also HD compatible. Price is obviously dependent on the size of the set and how tricky it is to install.
