We mentioned this yesterday, but we now have the official European press and indeed a nice new image of all four colour choices for the Sony Walkman NWZ-A820 series.

Most of the details are the same as we gleaned from the Japanese launch. The NWZ-A829 (16GB) can store up 62 hours of video or 3,800 songs. The NWZ-A828 (8GB) allows 30 hours of video or 1,850 songs, while the NWZ-A826 (4GB) can store up to 15 hours of video or 925 songs. Al have a 10-hour battery life for video and a whopping 36 hours for audio.

There’s a 2.4-inch QVGA screen with video playback at up to 30 frames per second and at horizontal or vertical screen orientation. Other features include Bluetooth stereo streaming, WMA, AAC, MP3 and Linear PCM music compatibility, JPEG viewing, MPEG-4 video, drag and drop file management, 13.5mm EX headphones with extra-large driver units, Sony’s Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) technology, 5-Band Equalizer, VPT Acoustic Engine and Dynamic Normalizer.

The Walkman NWZ-A820 series is available from April 2008 and available to pre-order from Sony now.
