The world's first knitted Ferrari

Okay, so people have been knitting iPhones and games consoles recently, but they pale next to Bath student Lauren Porter’s final-year project: a full-size knitted Ferrari. It’s made from 250 squares of garter stitch, and required the help of 20 family members and friends. Frankly that’s just lazy, if you ask me.

Actually, that’s unfair, given that the car is held together by a steel frame that Lauren welded herself. I wonder where all this technology-related knitting will end though: what next? A knitted wind turbine? A knitted nuclear power station? Watch this space for details…
