Now MMORPGs are getting their own Telly 2.0 shows

Gaming, Web 2.0

evetv.jpgThe world of online TV is a confusing place, with hundreds of available channels already, and a presently limited audience. Which is to say, there’s a lot of niche broadcasting going on.

Still, one way to ensure you have a big potential audience is to base your Telly 2.0 show on one of the bigger massively multiplayer online roleplaying games (MMORPGs for short). Witness EVE TV, a weekly online show devoted to Eve Online, a popular MMORPG with a committed base of gamers.

The show focuses on events and trends in the game world, and interviews its movers and shakers. You can imagine similar shows for World of Warcraft and EverQuest – the only question is whether participants will stop playing long enough to watch them.
