EQO introduces mobile VoIP and free messaging

More mobile VoIP, this time from EQO Mobile, which is offering long distance calls and messaging from mobile phones at local calling and messaging rates. In fact, EQO claims savings of to 95% on all international calls.

It’s all through a software application, free to download, self-installing and using your existing contact list – with it you can then invite other to join to get the heavily-discounted rates. No cards, callbacks or computers required.

Other selling points include text messages to regular mobiles at savings of up to 70% and free IM chat using MSN, Yahoo, AIM, GoogleTalk, ICQ and Jabber. It’s initially limited to 20 countries and is limited to certain handsets, although a wide range are already included.
