The drive is available as a 1TB or 2TB device, equipped with four 7200rpm drives and a high-speed eSATA interface and offering read/write speeds of up to 100MB/s. That’s three times faster than any USB hard drive and means 250GB of data can be transferred in less than an hour.
Data can be protected using the Memeo AutoBackup software for Windows, which offers improved backup options, including scheduled backup and password protection. The device also features Secure Lock Ware, a software tool that secures all or selected files/folders using 256 bit AES encryption.
The DriveStation Quattro will be available later this month for around £340 for the 1TB device and £553 for the 2TB – both exclusive of VAT.
