I do love a bold claim, especially ones that are based on very little evidence. According to Pulse Technology, the XtremeMac Luna alarm clock and speaker system is “the world’s most intelligent alarm clock for iPod”. But they don’t actually say how.
Saying that, it’s certainly worth a look if you’re after an iPod-friendly musical alarm. The alarm has gradual volume, snooze, sleep and international time options, the audio has independent bass and treble and AM/FM stereo. Oh yes, and there’s the iPod functionality.
This is very much a typical docking station, with output via two full-range speakers, along with a wireless remote to control. All told, not bad – but not really living up to the billing. It retails for £119.99.
