Cowon covered all bases with its iAudio D1 player last year, packing in audio, video and a DAB radio. Now we have the iAudio D2, which dispenses with the DAB radio, replacing it with FM and adding a larger touchscreen and TV output for your movie clips.
The screen is now a 2.5″ 16 million colour QVGA touchscreen LCD, with a rechargeable battery that claims to offer 10 hours of movie playback between charges. There is up to 4GB of storage, with additional storage possible via SD and MMC cards. As a music player, it covers most formats, including MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, OGG and APE, with around 52 hours of playback promised on the go.
Other features include an FM radio, FM recording, voice recording, line-in-recording, text and image viewing, clock, alarm and a 5-band equaliser, along with 3D surround sound. And if you want to watch your movies on a bigger screen, there’s even TV-out on the player.
Available at the end of this month, you pick up the 4GB model for around £180.
