Fujifilm launches Pivi MP-300 portable printer in Japan

It’s not just the digital cameras that are getting smaller, the same is happening to the photo printers too. The smallest of which has got to be Fujifilm’s Pivi MP-300, just launched in Japan.

It comes in at just 146 x 102 x 29mm, and weighs 225g. It connects to the camera via infrared or through USB PictBridge for printing – no Bluetooth though. And there is another problem – don’t expect big expansive glossy photos, as you’re going to get business card-sized snaps. But what did you expect from a camera this small?

It takes about 38 seconds to print out a 5MP image, with the total time for transfer of the image and full print taking nearly 2 minutes. Japan only right now, where you can pick one up for the equivalent of around £70.
