BenQ has unveiled a new addition to its LCD monitor range – the BenQ FP222W, a 22-inch wide-screen with "ultra-fast" 5ms response time.

Along with the fast response, which prevents image lagging or blurring (ideal for gamers), the FP222W also features 1680 x 1050(WSXGA+) resolution, along with the option to view two applications comfortably at the same time, each with a 4:3 aspect ratio. There’s also BenQ’s "Senseye" digital-enhancement technology which automatically improves image quality, adjusts brightness and darkness levels, performs color-mapping procedures, and reduces jagged edges on images. Senseye also adjusts contrast, colour and sharpness settings.

Equipped with both traditional D-Sub and next-generation DVI inputs, the BenQ FP222W can be used with analogue or digital inputs. Available at the end of September, a price is still to be confirmed.
