Cebop Pop inflatable speakers

Here’s a piece of technology that’s a load of hot air – and all the better for it. They are Cebop Pop inflatable speakers, a solution to anyone wanting big speakers that are easy to carry around.

When inflated, the Cebop Pop speakers stand around 260mm high, they’ll just pop in your bag. The company claims the sound quality is better than conventional portable speakers, which don’t allow for much range and have a hollow, "tinny" sound.

The Cebop Pop speakers use an NXT Exciter to generate sound waves across the entire surface of the material. By using a plastic skin as a resonating surface, you get a richer and wider range of sound with more bass. And it also makes for a multi-directional or surround sound.

Like most portable speakers, the Cebop Pop works with PCs, Macs, laptops and portable music players and should set you back around £27.
