BBC Five Live Flash

Here’s an interesting little thing from the BBC for those of you (which I imagine is most of you) with an always-on connection – BBC Five Live Flash.

It’s a small downloadable utility from the BBC, which, once installed, sits on your computer, popping up to alert you to ‘listen live’ events and the latest details of a major story, along with updates on other news of the day and information on forthcoming sporting events.

The Five Live Flash is free, but unfortunately only works with Windows. A similar service is also available to download from Sky, with the same platform limitations.
