microsoft to release PC security suite

microsoft has announced plans for a new security system, dubbed “Onecare” which is currently undergoing internal testing at microsoft. microsoft state that the product will provide the average home PC user with up-to-date antivirus programs, a firewall, have tools for data back-up, recovery and maintenance, as well as anti-spyware programs. The system will be available for a monthly subscription and only be compatible with Windows Service Pack 2. No word on release date yet, though.
