The release of the
PSP in the UK is getting tangibly closer with the announcement by Dixons that it’s going to offer a pre-order service for the PSP, for which you can put down a £10 deposit either in-store or online. The PSP is expected to retail for £179. The unit has sold well stateside, shifting about 600,000
units, although not quite up to Sony’s projection of 1,000,000 units.
On the upside for
us, it should mean that there are enough PSP parts for those of us on this side
of the pond get a crack at getting them this century. The PSP is expected to
hit the streets sometime near the end of summer.
