Yawn, yawn, yawn. Here we go again with the never ceasing battle to produce the world’s largest TV sets. This time the prize for the largest LCD set is up for grabs with Samsung now taking pole position with a 82-inch TFT-LCD model that will take centre stage at its CeBit stand this week.
It is a good 17inches larger than the 65inch monster that Sharp proudly paraded at the Ceatec show in Japan in Tokyo in October.
But how long will Samsung be able to hang on to the title? The LG/Philips team is said to have a similarly sized set on the cards, while Sharp recently bragged that LCD TVs as large as 100 inches were well within its reach. Wake us up to let us know please.
