Sony’s latest Cyber-shot, the W5, is a 5.1-megapixel digital camera with a 2.5-inch LCD display. It comes with a a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessa 3X optical zoom lens and the promise of a lengthy battery life thanks to the STAMINA system. This helps to maximise power usage, allowing you to take up to 420 shots on one charge. The camera comes with 32MB of internal memory, as well as space for a Memory Stick or Memory Stick Pro storage card. The Real Imaging Processor reduces the shutter release time and shooting intervals (as well as the on-screen image playback) which should mean you actually take the photo that people have posed for – rather than one of them all wandering off in a blur. Which is what normally happens with digital cameras.
